Tulsa Volleyball Returns Home to Face East Carolina Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa volleyball team plays their first home American Athletic Conference match of the 2015 season when they face East Carolina at the Donald W. Reynolds Center Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
The Golden Hurricane (6-9, 1-2 American) played their third consecutive road conference match Wednesday, when it fell short at SMU, 3-1. The Pirates (8-5, 1-1 American) split their conference opener last weekend, defeating Memphis and falling to Cincinnati. Click here for live stats, and click here for live video
Tulsa is led by, junior outside hitter Erica Bohannon, who averages 3.87 kills per set, and senior middle blocker Ashley Hooper, who averages 2.62 kills per set and .302 attacking percentage. Junior libero Brooke Berryhill averages 4.82 digs preset and 0.30 service aces per set, and sophomore setter Sophie Bethke averages 10.47 assists per set and 2.45 digs per set. Junior outside hitter Rebecca Reeve averages 2.90 kills per set and 2.88 digs per set, while junior outside hitter Trinity Alualu averages 0.62 kills per set and 2.12 digs per set. TU averages 12.48 kills per set, a .191 hitting percentage per set, 15.95 digs per set, 11.65 assists per set, 1.50 blocks per set, and 1.40 service aces per set.
When Tulsa faces East Carolina Sunday it will be the 14th match-up in program history. Tulsa leads the series 12-1. The Hurricane won both match-ups in 2014, 3-0 in both Tulsa and Greenville. East Carolina's lone win in the series came in 2005, when the Hurricane fell 3-1 in Greenville. Dating back to 2006, TU has posted an impressive 7-0 home record against the Pirates.
