
Tulsa Women’s Tennis Continues Singles Play in ITA Women’s Central Region Championship

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa women's tennis team continued singles play Friday, Oct. 16 in Stillwater, Okla. as they competed in the ITA Women's Central Region Championship at the Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center. There are 23 different schools and more than 130 student-athletes participating in the tournament. There was no doubles play yesterday, but the doubles main draw bracket will continue Saturday, Oct. 17.
The Golden Hurricane continued strong in singles play as sophomore Ksnenia Laskutova, junior Rongrong Leenabanchong, and senior Saana Saarteinen won both of their matches yesterday advancing to the fourth round of the singles main draw, which will take place Saturday. Senior Renata Kuricova, junior Marcelina Cichon, and freshman Martha Matoula went 0-1 yesterday in their respective matches.
