THE STORYLINES . . .
•      Tulsa football is under new direction as Philip Montgomery was named the 29th head coach in school history on December 11, 2014.
•      This is the 116th season that Tulsa has fielded a football team and has accumulated a record of 604-474-27.
•      Tulsa has the smallest undergraduate enrollment of FBS schools with 3,473 students.
•      Tulsa ranks second in passing offense in the American Athletic Conference with 374.5 yards per game, and is ranked 6th nationally.
•      The Golden Hurricane also ranks 7th in the nation for total offense with 569.2 yards per game.
•      Quarterback Dane Evans has moved into 5th place on the school's career passing chart with 5,498 career yards.
•      The Hurricane has two receivers – Keyarris Garrett and Josh Atkinson – with three 100-yard receiving games each within Tulsa's first four contests this season.
•      Tulsa's defense held Houston to 0-for-3 on fourth down conversions a week ago.
•      After going the first seven quarters this year without a takeaway, Tulsa then had four takeaways in the next three quarters – two in the fourth quarter at New Mexico and two in the second quarter at Oklahoma . . . Tulsa has now totaled five takeaways on the season.
•      Tulsa has two players on the roster from Louisiana . . . CB Johnell Celistan is from Avondale, Louisiana . . . Micheal Thomas calls Lafayette his home, although he completed his high school career at Lawton MacArthur HS in Oklahoma.
•      The four opponents that Tulsa has played this year have combined for an overall 12-5 record, as Oklahoma and Houston are both 4-0, New Mexico is 3-2 and FAU is 1-3.
•      Tulsa has had 14 of its' 26 scoring drives come under two minutes for a 53.8 percentage . . . seven Tulsa scoring drives have been under one minute.
 
THE SERIES . . .
•   This is the fourth meeting between Tulsa and ULM.
•   This is the fourth meeting between Tulsa and Louisiana-Monroe.
•   Tulsa leads the series 2-1.
•   Tulsa won the first and last meeting in the series, with the first game coming in 1977 as Tulsa won 37-35 . . . the last meeting came in Monroe as Tulsa won 35-17 in the 2007 season.
•   ULM's win in the series came in Tulsa, 37-34, in 1999.
 
KEEVAN LUCAS, BLAKE BELCHER OUT FOR SEASON . . .
•     It was announced today that Tulsa receiver Keevan Lucas, one of the nation's top receivers and candidate for the 2015 Biletnikoff Award, and junior offensive tackle Blake Belcher, who had started 13 straight games, will miss the remainder of the season due to injuries.
•     Lucas was injured against Houston on Saturday, suffering a ruptured patella tendon to his right knee. He had surgery Tuesday morning.
•     Belcher suffered an ACL injury to his right knee in the season opener against FAU and had surgery last Friday.
•     Both players are expected to return for spring practice in a limited capacity.

EVANS MOVING UP ON PASSING CHARTS . . .
•   Quarterback Dane Evans is in his fourth year, but just his third in a playing capacity . . . Evans red-shirted in the 2012 season, played in 2013 and then started all 12 games in 2014.
•   Evans now has thrown for 5,498 career yards, moving into 5th place on the school's career passing chart, surpassing Gus Frerotte (1990-93).
•   His 35 passing touchdowns is also the seventh most for a Tulsa quarterback . . . with one more TD pass Evans will tie James Kilian (2001-04) for sixth place.
•   Evans has 5,599 total offense yards to rank 6th on the school's career list.
•   Evans had his third career 400+ passing game against #16 Oklahoma with 427 yards and four touchdowns . . . that was his second 400+ game this season as Evans threw for 424 yards and two TDs in the season opener against FAU.
•   With four 300+ passing games this year, Evans now has seven career 300+ passing games, which is the third most in school history behind Paul Smith's 15 and G.J.Kinne's 13.
•     In 2014, Evans became the 20th quarterback in school history to throw for over 2,000 yards in a single season, and it was just the sixth time that a player has thrown for over 3,000 yards in a season.
