THE STORYLINES . . .
•  Tulsa football is under new direction as Philip Montgomery was named the 29th head coach in school history on December 11, 2014.
•  Tulsa has the smallest undergraduate enrollment of FBS schools with 3,473 students.   
•  Navy is the third ranked opponent that Tulsa will play this season. 
•  Tulsa has equaled its last two-year win total (5) with a current 5-5 record this year.
•  This is the last home game for 20 Tulsa seniors –– Blake Abbott, Derrick Alexander, Zik Asiegbu, Josh Bencke, Joseph Calcagni, Mandel Dixon Jr., Conner Floyd, Dylan Foxworth, Keyarris Garrett, Rey Higuera, Billy Lafortune, Zac Langer, Derrick Luetjen, Suleimman Masumbuko, Michale Mudoh, Thomas Shamet, Chris Showels, Garrett Stafford, Brad Valentino and Darrell Williams Jr.
•  This game features a Tulsa offense, ranked third in the American Athletic Conference and 9th nationally with 526.9 yards, against a Navy defense ranked first in the league for total defense, allowing opponents 350.3 yards.
•  Senior receiver Keyarris Garrett set an American Athletic Conference record in Tulsa's 7th game with 268 yards and 3 TDs on 14 catches vs. #17 Memphis.
•  Tulsa junior linebackers Matt Linscott and Trent Martin lead the American Athletic Conference in tackles for lost yards . . . Linscott has 16 and Martin has 14 TFLs.
•  Tulsa red-shirt freshman running back Ramadi Warren is coming off of two straight 100+ rushing games with 168 yards and 3 TDs against UCF, and last week 139 yards and 2 touchdowns at Cincinnati.
•  Tulsa has had 28 of its 43 offensive touchdown drives in regulation that have come under two minutes for a .651 percentage to rank first in the nation . . . 16 Tulsa TD drives have been under one minute this year.
•  Tulsa 's defense has totaled 19 takeaways this year after going the first seven quarters of the season without forcing a turnover.
 
THE SERIES . . .
•    This is the third meeting between Tulsa and Navy.
•    The series is tied 1-1, as each team has won on the other's home field.
•    In the first meeting in Tulsa, the Navy Midshipmen shut-out the Hurricane 29-0 in the           2004 campaign.
•    Two years later, Tulsa captured a 24-23 overtime victory in Annapolis in 2006 . . . the Hurricane blocked a PAT to preserve the win.
 
THE HIGH OCTANE OFFENSES . . .
•    Tulsa has faced four of the nation's current top-15 offenses, based on total offense,  this season –– No. 4 Cincinnati, No. 6 Oklahoma, No. 7 Memphis and No. 13
     Houston.
•    Tulsa also has one of the top offenses, now ranked 9th nationally, with an average of 526.9 yards per game.
•    In Tulsa's games against the top-15 ranked offenses, the two teams have combined for over 1,000 yards in each game –– Tulsa and Cincinnai combined for 1,240 yards . . . vs. Oklahoma, the two teams combined for 1,376 yards . . . Tulsa and Houston combined for 1,094 yards . . . vs. Memphis, the two teams combined for 1,238 yards
•    In those four games, Tulsa and its opponents have combined for 4,948 yards and 347 points, averages of 1,237 yards per game and 86.8 points per game
 
A DIFFERENT KIND OF HIGH OCTANE . . .
•    Navy is only ranked 63rd in total offense nationally with an average of 404.7 yards per game.
•    However, the Midshipmen are ranked second for rushing offense with an average of 335.0 yards per game . . . Navy averages just 69.7 yards per game passing.
 
GARRETT MOVES INTO 4th PLACE ON ALL-TIME RECEIVING CHART. . .
•    Keyarris Garrett came into the Memphis game with 2,319 receiving yards to rank 12th on the school's career receiving chart.
•    After a 268-yard performance against the #17 Tigers, Garrett jumped seven spots on Tulsa's all-time receiving list into 5th place with 2,587 yards.
•    Garrett now has 2,785 career yards and sits in 4th place, needing 167 yards to move into a tie with Damon Savage (1996-99) for 3rd place.
 
RAMADI REVS IT UP . . .
•    Red-shirt freshman Ramadi Warren has played in six of 10 games this year and has averaged 74.8 yards in those games.
•    Lately, Warren has turned it into high gear, rushing for 307 yards and 5 TDs in the last two games . . . his yards per carry in these two games is 9.3 yards.
•    Warren had a career-best and his first 100-yard rushing game with 168 yards and three TDs vs. UCF.
•    A week later, he had 139 yards and two TDs on 14 carries at Cincinnati.
•    His two TD runs vs. Cincinnati each came on 4th down when he rushed 65 yards for a score and 39 yards for his second touchdown.
•    Warren's 168 yards was the most for a freshman since the 2000 season, when freshman Eric Richardson had 194 and 206 yards for the top two single-season freshman marks.
•    When he went over 100 yards rushing for the second straight game with 139 yards at Cincinnati, it was the first time that Tulsa had a freshman rush for over 100 yards in two games in their freshman season since quarterback Tyler Gooch did it in 2001.
