Fresh off of winning the NCAA Midwest Regional last Saturday, University of Tulsa's Marc Scott was named the Region Athlete of the Year for the 2015 NCAA Division I Cross Country season, as announced today by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), and voted on by the Division's coaches.

The Tulsa senior from North Yorkshire, England, led the Golden Hurricane men to a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Midwest Regional in Lawrence, Kansas, and into this weekend's NCAA Championship. The Tulsa men enter the championship event ranked 20th in the nation.

Scott is unbeaten in four races this season, including a one-second win at the Midwest Regional and another close win at the exceptionally deep Wisconsin adidas Invitational. He also claimed the American Athletic Conference title.
