Three Tulsa Women’s Soccer Players Earn American Athletic Conference Honors; Tulsa Receives Fair Play Award

Tulsa women's soccer players Rachel Thun, Tana Dake and Danielle Hoover earned American Athletic Conference accolades, while the team received the Fair Play Award, as announced today by league office.
Thun, a sophomore midfielder from Oklahoma City, Okla., was named to the All-Conference First Team. She has team-bests of seven goals, three of which were game-winners, and eight assists for 22 points this season. Thun has also attempted a team-high 62 shots, 28 of which were on goal.
A sophomore midfielder from Claremore, Okla., Dake picked up All-Conference Second Team accolades. She has recorded three goals, two being game-winners, and two assists for eight points, and has the second-most shots and shots-on-goal with 45 and 22, respectively.
Hoover, a defender from Broken Arrow, Okla., was tabbed to the All-Rookie Team. She started in four of 16 games as a true freshman, and scored one goal and one assist for three points from her defender position. Hoover was also instrumental in Tulsa's nine shutouts, including a six-game streak to set a school record for consecutive clean sheets.
As a team, TU garnered the Fair Play Award for accumulating the fewest points based on fouls (1 point), yellow cards (5 points) and red cards (10 points).
