Tulsa’s Bohannon and Hooper Named First-Team All-Conference

TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa's pair of impact hitters, senior Ashley Hooper and junior Erica Bohannon, have both earned first-team all-conference honors, as announced Tuesday by the American Athletic Conference.

Since joining the league, Bohannon is the only athlete to earn first-team all-conference accolades in back-to-back seasons. TU is one of four American Athletic Conference teams to place multiple athletes on this year's list. SMU and Temple led all teams with three honorees each followed by Cincinnati. UCF and Houston each had one athlete on the list.

Bohannon led the team offensively this year with 515 kills to rank 13^th nationally in total kills. She also leads the team in kills per set averaging 4.06 to rank 44^th nationally. The talented outside hitter ranks third on TU's career kills list with 1,275. Bohannon has recorded 27 double-digit kill matches this season, while compiling 68 double-digit kill matches in her career.

Hooper led the Golden Hurricane offense with a .320 hitting percentage. She picked up 341 kills this year and compiled 977 kills in her career. The explosive middle blocker has registered 293 block assists which ranks third on TU's career block assists list. Hooper picked up 344 total blocks in her career ranking fourth on TU's career total blocks list, and she compiled a hitting percentage of .278 in her career to rank fifth on TU's career hitting percentage list. This season she tallied double-digit kills in 18 matches and recorded double-digit kills in 37 matches throughout her career.
