Tulsa Women’s Soccer Team to Host SIUE and McNeese State this Weekend

The Tulsa women's soccer team will continue their home stand with games against SIUE and McNeese State on Friday, Aug. 28 at 5:30 pm and Sunday, Aug. 30 at 2:00 pm, respectively.

Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688. Youth 12 and under can get in free by wearing a soccer jersey, and TU students can show their student ID to receive free admission at the gate.

Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on TulsaHurricane.com/watch. There is a 24HR Pass, a Monthly Pass and Yearly Pass that allows you to watch all TU home men's and women's soccer, volleyball and softball games depending on the package purchased.

TU started the season with a 2-0 mark, including a 2-0 win over Mercer and a 3-1 victory over Missouri Southern last week. Rachel Thun has a team-best two goals, while Madison Smith, Caitlin Jancuska and Christina Holmes have each put one into the back of the net. Courtney McKeon and Rebecca Defer have both played a full game in goal.

The Cougars will be looking for their first win as they enter the contest with a 0-1-1 mark. SIUE fell to West Virginia, 2-0, to start their season and then battled Indiana to a 0-0 double-overtime tie.

McNeese State started the season with a 2-1 win over ULM and a 5-0 victory against Prairie View A&M, but will face Texas State before making the trip to Tulsa.
