Three Tulsa women's soccer players scored a goal to lead the Golden Hurricane to a 3-0 win over McNeese State on Sunday afternoon at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. TU moved to 4-0 on the season, while MSU fell to 3-1 overall.

"McNeese is a good team so to get a win, especially at home, is important," Head Coach Kyle Cussen said. The team played well today. We are still trying to find our way formation wise, but we stuck to the game plan. I am very proud of McKenzi McAdams in getting the third goal and her first collegiate goal. I thought our subs gave us a spark and did a really good job to help get us a win."

A three-year starter at defender, Sierra Krenik scored her first career goal at the 35:33 mark as she punched in a score from 30 yards out off a free kick taken by Roman Edwards. Krenik's goal gave TU a 1-0 lead heading into the break.

Christina Holmes tallied her third goal of the season as she drilled in Rachel Thun's attempt that bounced off the post in the 48^th minute. McAdams added the third score in the 80^th minute off a cross by Madison Smith from one yard out.

Tulsa had a 25-4 lead in shots, including all 11 shots on goal, and had a 14-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Tana Dake and Anna Martin each had four shots, while Thun added tree attempts. Rebecca Defer logged all 90 minutes between the posts, had no saves and earned her second shutout on the season.

Tulsa will return to action on Friday, September 4 at Missouri State. Game time is set for 7:00 pm in Springfield, Mo.
