THE STORYLINES . . .
• Tulsa football is under new direction as Philip Montgomery was named the 29th head coach in school history on December 11, 2014.
• Tulsa has fielded a football team for 101 years more than FAU . . . this is Tulsa's 116th year of football and FAU's 15th season . . . Tulsa's first team was in 1895, while FAU's was in 2001.
• The Hurricane returns 100-percent of its passing and rushing totals from 2014 and 94-percent of its receiving total.
• Tulsa still has a young squad in 2015 . . . of the 44 players on the Tulsa two-deep, 21 are either freshmen or sophomores, while only 11 are seniors.
THE SERIES . . .
• This is the second meeting between Tulsa and Florida Atlantic.
• FAU won the only other meeting last year by a score of 50-21 in Boca Raton.
• Instead of what was scheduled to be a game between Conference USA foes, the two teams met in a non-conference game . . . Tulsa left C-USA for the American Athletic Conference in 2014, while FAU began its first year in C-USA in 2014.

• This is the 116th season that Tulsa has fielded a football team and has accumulated a record of 602-472-27.
• Tulsa has the smallest undergraduate enrollment of FBS schools with 3,473 students . . . FAU lists its enrollment as 30,000.

• Tulsa Co-Defensive Coordinator Bill Young has come full-circle . . . Young is back at Tulsa after making eight collegiate stops and one professional stint in between his first time at Tulsa . . . Young was an assistant coach under John Cooper at Tulsa from 1980-84 . . . Young served as DL coach from 1980-82 and added the defensive coordinator title for the 1983-84 seasons.
