Tulsa Women Host Indiana State and Incarnate Word in Spectrum Paint Tulsa Invitational

The Tulsa women's soccer team will host the Spectrum Paint Tulsa Invitational this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 11 and 12, featuring Tulsa, Oral Roberts, Indiana State and Incarnate Word.  TU will take on Indiana State on Friday and Incarnate Word on Saturday.  ORU will host both ISU and UIW at their field in the tournament. 
 
Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688.  Youth 12 and under can get in free by wearing a soccer jersey, and TU students can show their student ID to receive free admission at the gate.
 
Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on TulsaHurricane.com/watch.  There is a 24HR Pass, a Monthly Pass and Yearly Pass that allow you to watch all TU home men's and women's soccer, volleyball and softball games depending on the package purchased.
 
The Golden Hurricane set a school record for the best start in program history with a current 6-0 mark this season.  In the first six games, TU has recorded five clean sheets, including a current four-game streak.  Tulsa ranks first in won-lost-tied percentage (1.0), seventh in shutout percentage (.833), eighth in goals-against average (0.167) and 18th in saves percentage (0.9) among the nation's best.
 
TU netted 15 goals in just the first six contests for a 2.5 goals per game average, while holding its opponents to just 0.17 gpg (1 goal).  Christina Holmes has tallied four scores, while Rachel Thun has netted three goals and eight others have one score.  Roman Edwards and Thun each have four assists.
 
Rebecca Defer has logged 360:00 between the posts, picked up seven saves and has allowed one goal, while Courtney McKeon has 180:00 minutes in goal and two saves.  The duo have a combined 0.17 goals-against average and .900-saves percentage.
 
The Indiana State Sycamores have a 3-3 overall record, but are on a two-game winning streak.  Sydney Lovelace has a team-best four goals, while Maddie Orf has three scores.  Brittany San Roman has logged all 556:11 between the posts for 34 saves and one shutout, while allowing 12 goals.
 
The Incarnate Word Cardinals are 2-4 this season and are on a four-game losing streak.  Abigail Koengis has a team-best three goals.  Karly Brightwell and Heather Kowalik have split time in goal for a combined 35 saves, two shutouts and 16 goals allowed.
