Laskutova and Ram-Harel Wrap Up Play on Day Two of Oracle/ITA Masters

MALIBU, Calif. – The University of Tulsa Tennis' Ksenia Laskutova and Or Ram-Harel bowed out of the Oracle/ITA Masters on day two yesterday after winning four combined matches to open the tournament on Thursday.
 
Laskutova fell in straight sets in her round of 16 matchup against Luisa Stefani of host-Pepperdine, 6-3, 6-1. Laskutova converted on one of the two break point she saw in the first set, but Stefani responded by breaking two of Laskutova's serves in the set before breaking three in the second.
 
Ram-Harel could not break UCLA's Gage Brymer's serve in his round of 16 match, seeing no break points in the first set before missing out on two opportunities in the second set as he fell 6-1, 6-1.
 
After winning their opening two matches in mixed doubles play, Laskutova and Ram-Harel fell in the quarterfinals to the ACC duo of North Carolina's Hayley Carter and Georgia Tech's Christopher Eubanks 6-4.
 
Laskutova will return to the court on Nov. 4 for the SMU Invite in Dallas, Texas while Ram-Harel will get a shot at the ITA Regionals in Stillwater, Okla. Oct. 20-24.
