
Tulsa Women's Tennis Wraps Up Weekend Play at OU Invite

NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Tulsa Women's Tennis team wrapped up play at the OU Invite on Sunday afternoon, competing in three singles matches to end the weekend.
Sophomore Martha Matoula looked to remain unbeaten in play this weekend as the took on Alba Cortina-Pou of Texas Tech in the flight two finals this morning. Matoula fell to Cortina-Pou in straight sets 6-3, 6-3, but finished play with a 3-1 record over the three-day span.
Freshman Martina Okalova had to retire in her flight two third place match-up against OU's Byrne, leaving the match despite winning the first set 7-5.
Senior Rongrong Leenabanchong wrapped up weekend play with a 3-1 record as she defeated Texas Tech's Katelyn Jackson in straight sets 6-4, 6-1.
The Hurricane will be back in action on Oct. 13 with play at both the Oracle Masters and ITA Regionals in Malibu, Calif. and Minneapolis, Minn.
