Tulsa Rowers to Race in Jayhawk Jamboree on Sunday

The Tulsa rowers will take to the water again this Sunday, October 23 at the Jayhawk Jamboree.  The regatta will take place at Burcham Park on the Kansas River in Lawrence, Kan. 
 
The Golden Hurricane will race five boats in the Collegiate 4+ event and three boats in the Collegiate 8+ race.
 
TU will be taking on crews from Kansas State, Oklahoma, Central Oklahoma, Iowa, Drake, Creighton, Wichita State, Colorado, Grand Valley State, UMKC and host Kansas.
 
"The Jayhawk Jamboree is the second of three races we are doing this fall," Head Coach Kevin Harris said.  "It's a great time to get out and let the student-athletes test their progress from the Head of the Oklahoma a few weeks ago and it's another part of our training for 2016-17.  It's going to be good, hard racing and we are looking forward to lining up our boats and having a great row this weekend."
