Tulsa Women’s Soccer Team Closes Out Regular Season with UCF and USF This Week

The Tulsa women's soccer team returns home to close out the regular season against UCF and USF this week.  TU will host the Knights on Thursday, October 27 beginning at 7:00 pm for Senior Night, before hosting USF on Sunday, October 30 at 1:00 pm.  Both games will be played at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
 
The TU-UCF game is "Bark in the Park" night.  Fans are encouraged to bring their dogs, but they must be on a leash at all times and vaccination records must be provided at the gate prior to entry.  Tulsa will also honor seniors Lana Bermel, Darienne Chapman, Sierra Krenik, Claire Maris, Annie Sohmer and Olivia Viergutz, as well as managers Katelyn Admire and Marleigh Essler after the game.
 
Children are encouraged to wear costumes to the TU-USF game on Sunday as there will be postgame trick-or-treating with the women's team.
 
Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688. 
 
Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on TulsaHurricane.com/watch.  There is a 24HR Pass, a Monthly Pass and Yearly Pass that allow you to watch all TU home men's and women's soccer, volleyball and softball games depending on the package purchased.
 
The Golden Hurricane has an 8-8-1 overall record, including a 4-3 mark in the American Athletic Conference, and is 5-3 in the friendly confines of the Hurricane Stadium this season. 
 
Rachel Thun has a team-best 11 goals and nine assists for 31 points.  Anna Williams adds four scores, while Valiree Morris and Christina Holmes both have three goals.  Tana Dake, McKenzi McAdams, Annabeth Fouts and Reagan Whitlow all have two goals.  Dake also has seven assists on the season.  Rebecca Defer and Courtney McKeon have split time in goal, while combining for 101 saves and two shutouts on the season.
 
UCF has an 8-7-1 overall record, including a 3-3-1 mark in The American.  The Knights are led by Carol Rodrigues with 11 goals, while Morgan Ferrara has six scores.  Vera Varis has played the majority of minutes in goal, picked up 50 saves and has four shutouts this season.
 
USF, which is 11-2-2 overall and 3-2-2 in the league, will face Memphis before making the trip to Tulsa.  Evelyne Viens leads the Bulls with 13 goals and fours assists for 30 points.  Leticia Skeete and Andrea Hauksdottir both have four scores.  Kat Elliott has played the most in goal for USF this season, and has 48 saves and three clean sheets.
 
The American Athletic Conference women's soccer regular season champion will host The American Tournament.  The quarterfinals will be played on Nov. 2, followed by the semifinals on Nov. 4 and the championship match on Nov. 6.
