TULSA, Okla. –– The University of Tulsa Volleyball team swept (25-20, 25-23, 25-21) Houston at the Reynolds Center on Sunday afternoon, moving to 2-0 on the weekend after beating Tulane on Friday evening. With the match squared at 20-20, TU converted on four of the next five points to go ahead by three before closing out the set.
A 4-0 Tulsa run early in the third put the Hurricane up 8-6 before stretching their lead to four and forcing a Houston timeout. After three straight Cougar points tied the match at 14, the Hurricane outscored their opponent 10-4 to see match point at 24-18. Houston showed some resistance down the stretch before a Bohannon kill gave TU a 25-21 win and the match.
