Basketball to Hold Open Scrimmage Friday

TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa fans are invited to come and get their first glimpse at this new edition of the men's basketball team on Friday, as the Golden Hurricane will hold an open scrimmage at 5 p.m. in the Donald W. Reynolds Center. 

The scrimmage will take place prior to the Tulsa football game against SMU at 7 p.m. at H.A. Chapman Stadium, and fans will be able to watch the 2016-17 Hurricane on the court for the first time.

Tulsa is preparing for its third season under the direction of head coach Frank Haith, and features a nearly brand-new squad year with 10 newcomers, and only three players who have played in a game for TU. 

Season tickets for the 17-game home schedule are on sale now. Tickets start as low as $210. Tickets can be purchased by visiting the TU Athletics Ticket Office in the Donald W. Reynolds Center, or by calling 918-631-GoTU (4688).
 
Fans can first see Tulsa in game action on Nov. 2 when the Hurricane plays host to Oklahoma Christian at 7 p.m. in an exhibition game. TU opens the season Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. against Jacksonville State at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
