
Tulsa Women Golfers Finish 7th at Yale Invitational

The Tulsa women's golf team finished seventh in a field of 19 teams at the rain-shortened Yale Women's Intercollegiate, while freshman Greta Bruner place eighth individually at the par-71 The Course at Yale.
Tulsa posted rounds of 300 and 292 for a 24-over par score of 592, just 11 strokes behind team champion Columbia. Bruner had rounds of 73-69 for an even-par 142 score to claim her second top-15 performance in her first three collegiate tournaments.
Sophomore transfer Anneke Strobach finished in 22nd place with a five-over par score of 147, after rounds of 76 and even-par 71. Senior Nadia Majidizadeh placed 28th overall, only two strokes behind her teammate Strobach, with a 36-hole total of 149. She carded rounds of 75-74 on The Course. Freshman Taylor Dobson finished in 63rd place with a score of 155 after rounds of 77 and 78, while sophomore Johanna Samuelsson scored a 156 total with rounds of 76 and 80 for 69th place in the field of 103 golfers.
Columbia claimed the team championship with rounds of 292 and 289 for a 13-over par 581, while Jennifer Peng of host Yale and Cincinnati's Tara Liebert shared the individual crown with six-under par scores of 136.
Tulsa will play next at the Betsy Rawls Invitational, October 17-18, in Austin Texas, at the University of Teas Golf Club.
