THE STORYLINES . . .
•     This is the 10th meeting between Tulsa and UCF.
•     Tulsa has the smallest FBS enrollment with 3,473 students, while UCF has one of the largest with an enrollment of 63,016 students.
•     Both teams are bowl eligible . . . Tulsa became bowl eligible on Oct. 29 with a win at Memphis, and after an 0-12 record a year ago, UCF became bowl eligible last week with a win over Cincinnati.
•     It's strength vs. strength when the two teams meet . . . Tulsa is ranked second in The American in scoring at 42.2 points, while UCF is second in scoring defense allowing 20.6 points . . . Tulsa averages 518.5 yards per game to rank second in the league, while UCF allows only 360.3 yards to rank fourth in the AAC . . . Tulsa is third in rushing (248.7 ypg) and UCF is ranked fourth in run defense (147.6 ypg).

•     Tulsa running backs D'Angelo Brewer and James Flanders became the second tandem in school history to each rush for 1,000 yards in the same season.
•     QB Dane Evans is now the school's career passing leader with 10,945 yards.
•     A total of 19 freshmen have seen action in at least one game this year, including 12 red-shirt freshmen and seven true freshmen . . . two transfers have also made playing debuts this year.

1,000-YARD DUO . . .
•     The Tulsa running duo of D'Angelo Brewer and James Flanders became just the 70th pair of running backs in D1 (FBS) history to reach 1,000 rushing yards in the same season.
•     Flanders reach 1,000 yards against East Carolina, while Brewer eclipsed the mark at Navy . . . Flanders has 1,169 yards and Brewer has 1,064 yards this year.
•     It's the second time in school history that a Tulsa running duo has surpassed 1,000 yards in the same season.
•     Tulsa's Palomino Express – Micheal Gunter and Ken Lacy – rushed for 1,464 and 1,097 yards, respectively, in 1982 equaling that year SMU's Pony Express of Eric Dickerson and Craig James, who did the same.
 
EVANS BECOMES ALL-TIME PASSING LEADER, GETTING CLOSE ON OTHER LISTS . . .
•     Senior quarterback Dane Evans threw for a season-high 369 yards at Navy, and in so doing became the school's career passing leader, surpassing Paul Smith's (2003-07) total of 10,936 yards.
•     Evans ended the game with 10,945 career passing yards in 43 career games.
•     He also moved into second place on the school's career total offense list, surpassing G.J.Kinne (2009-11).
•     Evans now has 10,971 total yards in his career, 631 yards shy of tying Paul Smith (2003-07) for the school record.
•     With 74 career passing touchdowns, Evans is in third place on the school's all-time list, nine shy of tying Paul Smith (2003-07) for first place.
•     With one more 300+ passing game, Evans will tie Paul Smith's (2003-07) record of 15 300+ passing games.
•     Evans already holds the school records for completions (839), attempts (1,476) and 400-yard passing games (4).
 
COMING UP SHORT AT NAVY . . .
•     It was the battle of first-place in the American Athletic Conference West Division last week as Tulsa visited Navy . . . both teams entered with 4-1 league marks.
•     It was a high-scoring affair that saw 82 points scored and a combined 1,077 yards between the two teams.
•     Navy had a 37:25 to 22:35 advantage in time of possession.
•     Tulsa had 576 total yards, including 369 through the air and 207 on the ground.
•     The two teams combined to be 7-of-7 in the red zone, including Tulsa at 3-of-3 and Navy 4-of-4.
•     Tulsa was 3-of-3 on 4th down conversions, with the three conversions covering 2, 17 and 44 yards.
•     The game came down to the last two minutes, as it appeared that a Tulsa defensive stop and ball strip and recovery on 4th down would give the Hurricane the ball near midfield, but it was ruled a Navy first down.
 
THE 300-YARD RUSHING GAMES . . .
•     Tulsa has rushed for 300+ yards in six of its 10 games this season, and one more 300+ rushing game would be a new school record.
•     Tulsa rushed for 305 yards vs. San Jose State, 336 at Fresno State, 315 vs. SMU, 330 vs. Tulane, 362 at Memphis and 342 vs. East Carolina.
•     It's the most 300+ rushing games since Tulsa had six 300+ games in the 2008 season.
•     The Hurricane teams of 1950 and 1952 also had six 300+ rushing games.
