WEEKLY NOTES
TULSA, Okla. – After having last weekend off, The University of Tulsa men's tennis team returns to the Michael D. Case Tennis Center to face No. 64-ranked Arkansas tonight, Friday, Feb. 12, at 6:00 p.m.
The No. 31-ranked Golden Hurricane goes into tonight's dual with an overall 4-2 record. Last time out, Tulsa lost to unranked Purdue, 4-3, before battling back to defeat No. 63-ranked Wichita State in another 4-3 thriller. The Wichita State dual marked the fourth time this season that a dual has been decided by one point, and it's the third time this year that the Hurricane has walked away from that situation on top.
Junior Or Ram-Harel goes into this weekend with a No. 30 ranking in singles play after previously being ranked 51, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Wednesday. Senior Carlos Bautista is now ranked No. 94 singles play after previously not being ranked, and he is ranked No. 52 in doubles play with sophomore Juan Matias Gonzalez after previously not being ranked. Tulsa will not face a ranked opponent in doubles or singles play in Friday night's dual against the Razorbacks.
Next weekend, the Hurricane plays host to Santa Clara on Friday, Feb. 19, before welcoming in No. 5-ranked Oklahoma on Saturday, Feb. 20.
