TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa indoor track & field team travels 37 athletes, 21 men and 16 women, to Ames, Iowa, on Friday, Feb. 12, for the Iowa State Classic at the Lied Recreation Center. Senior sprinter Bryce Robinson will make a lone trip to Albuquerque, N.M., to compete in the Don Kirby Invitational at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

Tulsa goes into this weekend ranked No. 26 nationally after previously being ranked No. 30. Robinson and junior Marc Scott remain the only Tulsa athletes to be ranked nationally in an event. Last weekend at the Husker Invitational, Robinson ran a time of 20.63 in the 200-meter dash, which ranks third nationally. Robinson is still ranked No. 5 in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.62 that he registered in the DeLoss Dodds Invitational. Scott ranks No. 50 nationally in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:07.11 that he recorded at the Jayhawk Classic.

The Iowa State Classic marks the second to last meet before indoor conference championships begin. The American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships are set to start on Feb. 28, in Birmingham, Ala. Next Friday, Feb. 19, Tulsa will travel to Fayetteville, Ark., to compete in the Arkansas Qualifier.
