
Tulsa Men’s Tennis Ranked In Top-30; Golden Hurricane Hosts Santa Clara And No. 8-Ranked Oklahoma

TULSA, Okla. –The University of Tulsa men's tennis team moved up two spots to earn a national ranking of No. 29, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Wednesday. The Golden Hurricane will play host to Santa Clara on Friday, Feb. 19, at 1:00 p.m., before turning around to face No. 8-ranked Oklahoma on Saturday, Feb. 20, at 5:00 p.m. The Oklahoma match begins a stretch of 13 opponents ranked among the top-55, including three straight home matches against No. 8-ranked Oklahoma, No. 2-ranked Virginia (March 10) and No. 9-ranked Southern California (March 12).
Junior Or Ram-Harel and senior Carlos Bautista maintain a No. 30 and No. 94 singles ranking, respectively, going into this weekend. Bautista and sophomore Juan Matias Gonzalez maintain their national ranking of No. 52 in doubles play.
In Saturday's match against Oklahoma, Tulsa will face Axel Alvarez Liamas and Alexandru Ghilea who are nationally ranked No. 60 and No. 85 in singles, respectively. OU's Ghilea and Andrew Harris arrive in Tulsa ranked No. 37 in doubles, while Spencer Papa and Liamas enter the weekend ranked No. 57.
