Tulsa Indoor Track & Field Team Set For Sunday Start At The American Indoor Championships

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa track and field team enters this week's American Athletic Conference Indoor Championshps as the 20th ranked team in the country, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The Golden Hurricane concludes the 2016 indoor season at the American Championships this Sunday-Monday, Feb. 28-29, in Birmingham, Ala., at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
 
In seven meets, TU has won 17 event titles and has registered 47 top-5 finishes. 
 
Going into this weekend, Tulsa has two athletes that are nationally ranked in three different events. Senior sprinter Bryce Robinson is ranked No. 6 in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.62 that he recorded at the DeLoss Dodds Invitational, and No. 7 in the 200-meter dash with a time of 20.62 at the Husker Invitational. Junior long distance runner Marc Scott is ranked No. 3 in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 13:37.34 that he logged at the Iowa State Classic.
