
Tulsa’s Women’s Tennis Team Climbed 20 Spots To Earn No. 14 Ranking

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa women's tennis team climbed 20 spots to break into the top-15 nationally earning a No. 14-ranking, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Wednesday.
TU's No. 14-ranking is the highest in school history for the women, as the highest previous ranking is No. 19 from the 2011-12 season.
Tulsa opened American Athletic Conference play last weekend defeating UCF, 6-1. The Golden Hurricane has an overall 10-1 record and is 5-1 against ranked opponents. Tulsa is currently riding a five-match win streak. Since beginning dual play, Tulsa athletes have posted a notable 39-5 mark in singles play and a 14-6 record in doubles play.
Tulsa has three players that are undefeated in singles since beginning dual play. Marcelina Cichon has a perfect 9-0 record in singles since beginning dual play and is currently riding a 14-match win streak. Rongrong Leenabanchong's win last weekend improved her overall record in singles dual play to 5-0, and Mahitha Dadireddy has an overall 3-0 record in singles dual play.
