Tulsa Women Golfers in 7th Place after Clover Cup First Round

The Tulsa women's golf team is in a seventh-place tie in the 17-team field after scoring a round of 11-over par 299 on the first day at the Notre Dame Clover Cup at the par-72 Longbow Golf Club.
Tulsa senior Antonia Von Wnuck shot an opening round one-under par 71 and is in seventh place overall after the first 18 holes.
Von Wnuck teed off on the 10th hole to start the day and after her first nine holes sat at two-over par. She birdied the par-5 first hole, which was her 10th of the day, and also added birdies on holes 5 and 7 to go to one-under par. After a bogey on the par-4 eighth hole, Von Wnuck also birdied her 18th hole, the ninth, to finish the day at one-under par.
Junior Nadia Majidizadeh carded a one-over par round of 73 and sits in 17th place overall, while senior Alex Haun turned in a score of 77 and is in 49th place. Freshmen Olivia Jackson and Johanna Samuelsson, who is playing this tournament as an individual, shot rounds of 78 today and are tied for 59th place. Fellow freshman Brydie Hodge is in 86th place after an opening round 83.
TCU leads the team field with a four-under par 284 to lead second-place SMU (285) by one stroke. Individually, TCU's Brooke Graebe and South Florida's Nicole Autrique are tied for first place with five-under par scores of 67.
Second round action will take place on Saturday, while the final 18 holes will be played on Sunday.
