STANFORD, Calif. – Catherine Horner and Maddie Withee each tallied three RBI, and Caitlin Sill pitched a two-hit shutout to lead Tulsa to an 11-0 (6 inn.) win at Stanford Saturday evening at the Louisville Slugger Classic at Smith Family Stadium. The Golden Hurricane fell to No. 11 Florida State, 8-0, Saturday afternoon.

The Hurricane (16-5) scored a run in the second and two in the third and fifth innings, then exploded for six runs in the sixth frame to top the host Cardinal (11-10). Sill struck out three batters and improved her record to 8-1.

The Seminoles (19-3) starter Meghan King pitched a perfect game with five strikeouts. TU starter Emily Watson (5-4) struck out six batters in 4.2 innings.

The Hurricane got on the board against Stanford in the second inning with an RBI single by Kaitlin Allen. Maddie Withee hit a two-run home run in the third inning, her third of the season. She then hit an RBI single in the fifth stanza, followed by a sacrifice fly by Horner. Horner, and Jocelyn Sheffield each hit two-run doubles in Tulsa's six-run sixth inning.

Tulsa 's Sunday game against Cal Poly was canceled due to weather. The Hurricane returns home to play host to No. 19 Minnesota at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Collins Family Softball Complex.
