Tulsa’s Men’s Track and Field Team Ranked No. 15 in Preseason Poll; Golden Hurricane to Compete in Arkansas Spring Invitational

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa men's track and field team earned a No. 15 preseason ranking, as announced Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
 
Sophomore Paul Akintade ranks No. 22 nationally in the men's long jump with a distance of 7.33m that he registered at the Tulsa Duels last weekend. Freshman Bailey Stewart ranks No. 51 nationally in the men's 200-meter dash with a time of 21.59 that he recorded last weekend.
 
The Golden Hurricane travels to Fayetteville, Ark., on Friday, March 25, to compete in the Arkansas Spring Invitational at the John McDonnell Field.
 
The TU men will compete in six running events and five field events, while the women will compete in seven running events and three field events.
 
The meet will begin with two combined events on Friday, the women's heptathlon (3:00 p.m.) and the men's decathlon (3:10 p.m.). The women's hammer throw (5:00 p.m.) and the men's hammer throw (6:00 p.m.) will also take place on Friday.
