Tulsa Track and Field Registers Two Event Titles in Arkansas Spring Invitational

Fayetteville, Ark.  –– The University of Tulsa track and field team picked up two event titles and registered six top-five finishes in the Arkansas Spring Invitational on Saturday at the John McDonnell Field.

In the men's running events, sophomore Isaac Dobos won the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:24.05. Junior Simon Greiner claimed the second Tulsa event title winning the seeded men's 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:48.17. Freshman Braydon Rennie finished runner-up in the men's 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:25.20.
 
For the men's field events, senior Alex Lybarger picked up a fourth place finished in the men's hammer throw with a distance of 58.29m.
 
Freshman Cecilya Johnson had an impressive performance in the women's discus throw finishing runner-up with a distance of 52.38m.
 
In the women's running events, Freshman Avery Culpepper picked up a fourth place finish in the women's 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:06.79. The women's 4x100 meter relay team of Christina Holmes, Candalyn Lyons, Quit Patterson and Lauren Thomas clocked a fifth place time of 46.93. Sophomore Alyssa Bolliger registered a fifth place finish in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:00.57.
