No. 18-Ranked Tulsa Women’s Tennis Team Plays Host To No. 13-Ranked Wichita State

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa women's tennis team plays host to No. 13-ranked Wichita State at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, home of the 2016 Division I Men's and Women's Tennis Championships.

The No. 18-ranked Golden Hurricane goes into the Saturday's match with an impressive overall 12-1 record, while the Shockers enter the match 14-3 overall.

Last weekend, TU defeated No. 68-ranked North Texas, 4-1, before going on to defeat conference foe USF in a 4-3 thriller.

Tulsa is on a seven-match win streak after defeating five ranked opponents and two American Athletic Conference teams. The Hurricane is 6-1 against ranked opponents this season. TU has posted a perfect 8-0 record this season when playing at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, and it is riding an 11-match home winning streak dating back to April 3, 2015.

In Saturday's match, Tulsa will face Wichita State's No. 53-ranked doubles team Summer Schlotterback and Rebecca Pedrazzi. Last weekend, the Shockers defeated No. 23-ranked Kansas, 5-2, before going on to defeat No. 46-ranked New Mexico in a 6-1 decision.
