TULSA, Okla. – For the second straight year, Tulsa's dynamic senior duo of James Woodard and Shaquille Harrison have earned All-American Athletic Conference awards. Woodard is a first-team selection and Harrison is a second-team selection, in a vote by the conference head coaches, the league office announced Tuesday.

Woodard, a 6'3" guard from Arcadia, Okla., also earned first-team honors last season. He leads the Golden Hurricane with 15.8 points per game, and averages 5.2 rebounds and 2.6 3-pointers per contest. He ranks third in the conference in scoring and second in 3-pointers per game.

Harrison, a 6'4" guard from Kansas City, Mo., earned second-team honors last year. He leads the team with 5.5 rebounds per game, and averages 14.8 points, 4.1 assists and 1.9 steals per contest. He put up 12.8 points, 5.7 boards and a league-leading 5.2 assists and 1.8 steals per conference game. Overall, he ranks first in the league in steals, fifth in assists and eighth in scoring.

Woodard ranks fourth all-time at TU in scoring, with 1,861 points, second all-time with 259 3-pointers, and ninth with 706 rebounds. He is just the third Tulsa player ever to compile 1,800 points and 700 rebounds. He has scored in double figures in 107 games, is the only TU player to lead his team in scoring in each of his first three seasons, and is just the third player to score 60 or more 3-pointers in three consecutive years.

Harrison has started all 131 career games, and ranks third all-time at TU with 242 steals and 453 assists. He is the only Tulsa player to ever compile 1,300 points, 400 assists and 200 steals, and the only player to total 50-plus steals in four seasons. He is currently the only player in Tulsa history to start every game of his four-year career.

The third-seeded Golden Hurricane (20-10, 12-6 American) opens the American Athletic Conference Championship against sixth-seeded Memphis at 8 p.m. CT Friday on ESPNU, from the Amway Center in Orlando, Fla.
