No. 13 Tulsa Men’s Track & Field To Compete in Bryan Clay Invitational

TULSA, Okla. – On Thursday, The University of Tulsa's No. 13 nationally ranked men's track and field team will travel six athletes to Azusa, Calif., to compete in the Bryan Clay Invitational at the Cougar Athletic Stadium.
Tulsa's competitors this week include Ellis Coon, Ben Preisner, Braydon Rennie, Adam Roderique, Marc Scott and Robert Tully.
After last weekend's performance at the Baylor Invitational, the Tulsa men's team moved up one spot to earn a No. 13 national ranking, according to U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Currently, the Hurricane has one female and five male athletes ranked nationally.
Junior Luke Traynor and senior Tim Rackers are among the top-25 ranking 17th and 19th, respectively, in the men's 10,000-meter run. In the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase, sophomore Ben Preisner is ranked 31st. Sophomore Paul Akintade ranks 76th in the men's long jump, while junior Simon Greiner goes into this weekend ranked 95th in the men's 1,500-meter run.
For the TU women, freshman Cecilya Johnson is among the top-30 in the women's discus ranking 30th.
