Tulsa Women Golfers Begin Play at AAC Championships Sunday

The Tulsa women golfers will compete at the American Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships, Sunday-Tuesday, April 17-19, at the Hammock Beach and Golf Club in Palm Coast, Fla..

The three-day event will be played on the 6,225-yard par-72 Ocean Course.
 
The league favorites, Houston (No. 28), SMU (No. 29), East Carolina (No. 32) and Tulane (No. 44), enter the event ranked among the nation's Top 50 teams in the most recent GolfStat team rankings.
 
Defending champion, UCF, will look to defend its title. The Tulsa women finished in ninth place in its first season as a league member in 2015.

Tulsa junior Nadia Majidizadeh lead the Golden Hurricane into the conference championships. She has a 75.3 stroke average and has placed among the top-20 in three of four spring tournaments this year.
