Tulsa Women Golfers in 9th Place After First Round at American Championships

The Tulsa women's golf team sits in ninth place after opening round action at the American Athletic Conference Championships. The Hurricane carded a score of 329 on Sunday at the par-72 Ocean Course of the Hammock Beach and Golf Club in Palm Coast, Florida.
Senior Alex Haun had Tulsa's best round of the day with a score of 79 for 15th place overall.
Fellow senior Antonia Von Wnuck is in 27th place with a score of 82, followed by Nicole Marquardt in 30th place at 83, Olivia Jackson in 37th place with a round of 85 and Nadia Majidizadeh in 41st place at 86.
East Carolina and Memphis are tied for the team lead at 309, followed by a three-way tie between UCF, South Florida and SMU for third place at 311.
Second round action continues on Monday, while the final round of 18 holes will be played on Tuesday.
