Tulsa Track & Field To Compete in Baylor Invitational

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa track & field team travels 26 athletes, 15 men and 11 women, on Saturday, April 9, to Waco, Texas, to compete in the Baylor Invitational at the Clyde Hart Track & Field Stadium.

The Tulsa men's team enters this weekend nationally ranked 14^th, according to U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Currently, the Hurricane has one female and five male athletes ranked nationally.

Junior Luke Traynor and senior Tim Rackers are among the top-25 ranking 17^th and 19^th, respectively, in the men's 10,000-meter run. In the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase, sophomore Ben Preisner is ranked 28^th. Sophomore Paul Akintade ranks 64^th in the men's long jump, while junior Simon Greiner goes into this weekend ranked 74^th in the men's 1,500-meter run.

For the TU women, freshman Cecilya Johnson is among the top-25 in the women's discus ranking 25^th.
