Tulsa Women Golfers in 13th Place at Red Raider Invitational

The Tulsa women's golf team sits in 13th place following two rounds Friday at the Red Raider Invitational. The Hurricane carded rounds of 305 and 316 for a 36-hole score of 621 at the par-72 Rawls Course.
Tulsa junior Nadia Majidizadeh is in 53rd place to lead the Hurricane with a score of 154 after rounds of 78 and 78.
Sophomore Nicole Marquardt shot an opening round one-over par 73 for Tulsa's best individual score of the day. After starting on hole 17, she had bogey putts on the par-5 ninth hole and par-4 13th hole, but then birdied the par-4 14th to take a one-over par score into second round action. In the second round, Marquardt turned in a score of 82 and finished the day in 57th place. Freshman Johanna Samuelsson is tied with Marquardt for 57th place after rounds of 78-77 for a 155 total.
Another pair of freshmen, Olivia Jackson and Mackenzie Medders, sits in 69th and 72nd place, respectively, with scores of 160 and 163.
BYU leads the team race over Purdue by one stroke, 575 to 576, while Kansas' Yupaporn Kawinpakorn totaled rounds of 71 and 66 for a seven-under par score of 137 to lead the individual field.
The final 18 holes will be played on Saturday.
