NCAA Women Back on the Courts Today in Quarterfinal Action

After taking a day off for the men's Round of 16, the women are back in action on Saturday at the NCAA Division I Men's & Women's Tennis Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. Eight women's teams have advanced to quarterfinal action.

Play began at 12 noon with #6 Vanderbilt vs. #14 Virginia and #10 Michigan against #15 Stanford. Virginia upset the No. 3-seed and ACC rival North Carolina in Round of 16 action Thursday, while 17-time NCAA champion Stanford upset No. 2 Florida and Michigan upset No. 7 Miami (Fla.).

The 4:00 p.m. matches feature top-seed California against #8 Pepperdine and #4 Ohio State against the #12 Oklahoma State Cowgirls.

Men's quarterfinal action will take place on Sunday with matches scheduled for 12 noon and 4 p.m.
