Bracket Set for American Athletic Conference Softball Championship in Tulsa

American Athletic Conference Softball Championship Bracket
TULSA, Okla. – The bracket is set for the 2016 American Athletic Conference Softball Championship, set to take place in Tulsa Thursday-Saturday, May 12-14, at the Collins Family Softball Complex.
The host Golden Hurricane (32-18, 9-9) earned the No. 3 seed, and will open play against sixth-seeded East Carolina (23-30, 5-13) in the quarterfinals at 4 p.m. Thursday. USF (43-13, 15-3) won the conference regular season title, earning the No. 1 seed and a bye into the semifinals.
The seven-team, single elimination tournament begins at 11 a.m. Thursday. Fourth-seeded Houston (26-28, 9-9) and fifth-seeded Memphis (26-30, 7-11) open the tournament, followed by second-seeded UCF (35-19, 12-4) and seventh-seeded UConn (19-31, 4-12) at 1:30 p.m.
The winner of Houston and Memphis will play USF in the first semifinal at 1 p.m. Friday, while the Tulsa-East Carolina winner will face the UCF-UConn winner at 3:30 p.m. Friday. Every game of the quarterfinals and semifinals will be broadcast on the American Digital Network at www.TheAmerican.org.
The championship game is set for 11 a.m. Saturday, and will be televised on ESPN.
All-session tickets are available for purchase through Wednesday at 5 p.m. online at www.TulsaHurricane.com, by calling 918.631.GoTU (4688) or stopping by the Reynolds Center Athletic Ticket Office between 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. All-session tickets are priced at $20 for adults and $10 for youth, ages 2-17. Single session tickets are priced at $10 for adults and $5 for youth. Group tickets are available for groups of 15 or more for $3/ticket, and must be purchased in advance of the tournament.
Tulsa and ECU played April 1-3 in Tulsa, and the Hurricane won all three games by scores of 12-3, 8-0 and 11-3.
