Kilani Selected ITA Rookie of the Year

TULSA, Okla. – On Monday, freshman men's tennis player Majed Kilani was named the ITA Rookie of the Year, as part of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association 2015-16 regional awards. The national award winners for Division I will be announced on Tuesday, May 24.
 
Kilani has compiled a 13-6 singles record and a 7-3 doubles mark since arriving to Tulsa. He helped lead the men's team to an overall 17-13 record, and a 9-9 mark against nationally ranked opponents. Last week, Kilani was named the American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year.
 
The 23rd-ranked men's tennis team will travel to Norman, Okla., for the first round of the NCAA Tennis Championships to take on the 38th-ranked Oregon Ducks on Friday, May 13, at the Headington Family Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Oklahoma.
