Maddie Withee Named American Athletic Conference Player of the Week

TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa junior left fielder Maddie Withee hit .727 in four games last week, and was named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
Withee, a native of Arlington, Texas, was 8-for-11 at the plate last week, including a 7-for-10 performance in Tulsa's weekend sweep of UConn. She posted an .818 slugging percentage and a .727 on-base percentage, driving a double and an RBI, and scoring two runs.
Friday against UConn, Withee went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and a run. She went 3-for-4 with a run against the Huskies on Saturday, and 2-for-3 on Sunday. She went 1-for-1 against No. 7 Oklahoma on Wednesday.
This is the second American Athletic Conference weekly honor of the season for Withee, and the sixth award of the season for the Golden Hurricane.
The Golden Hurricane (32-18, 9-9 American) concludes the regular season at Oklahoma State at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Tulsa opens the American Athletic Conference Championship at 4 p.m. Thursday against East Carolina at the Collins Family Softball Complex.
