The last of three  "Tulsa Plays!" Summer Kids events, presented by The University of Tulsa athletics, Tulsa World, KTUL Channel 8 and Scripps Radio, will take place this Thursday, July 21, 10-12 noon at Hunter Park, located at 5804 East 91st Street (between Sheridan and Yale).

"Tulsa Plays!" is open to all kids 12 & under. The "Tulsa Plays!" initiative is a community program designed to encourage kids to play and live a healthy and active lifestyle. All children will need to have a waiver signed by a legal guardian or parent to participate.

The youth will participate in running and agility drills in a variety of sports. TU student- athletes from the sports of men's basketball, football, rowing, soccer, softball and volleyball, as well as the Golden Hurricane spirit team will be present to instruct and interact with the youth in attendance.

Each participant will receive an activity card that they can take to each activity station. At each station they will receive a sticker of completion. At the end of the day, kids can redeem their activity card for a "Tulsa Plays!" gift pack.

The previous two "Tulsa Plays!" events were held at Veterans Park with 50 kids participating in early June, and the second event two weeks ago at the Gardens at LaFortune Park attracted over 100 youth.
