Tulsa Volleyball Adds Pardo to 2016 Roster

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa volleyball team added Mariah Pardo to the 2016 roster as announced by Head Coach Ryan Wills. The League City, Texas, native received national recognition after her senior season as she was named to the MaxPreps All-American Second-Team and the Under Armour All-American Third-Team.
"It is great to add Mariah to our 2016 class," said Head Coach Ryan Wills. "She is a proven winner at all levels of volleyball. Mariah comes from a sport-oriented, competitive family that has prepared her to compete at high levels. Her charisma is infectious and her character is well respected. We are happy and grateful that she has chosen to be a part of our program."
A 5-9 setter, Pardo was named to the MaxPreps 2015 Preseason Volleyball All-American team in a season that saw her named Player of the Week by Lonestarvolleyball.com, the Houston Chronicle, and the Memorial Houston. A two-time team captain and Most Valuable Player, Pardo received Setter of the Year honors from the Greater Houston Volleyball Coaches Association on her way to being named all-state by the Texas Girls Coaches Association.
Pardo helped club team AVA 17 Rox to an Open National Championship in the 2015 season with fellow Tulsa newcomer Taylor Horsfall.
As a junior prep, Pardo garnered all-state and district setter of the year awards while being named to the MaxPreps 2014 Underclass All-American team. Pardo received Player of the Week honors from both MaxPreps and the American Volleyball Coaches Association during the season.
