“Tulsa Plays!” Summer Kids Program at Lafortune Park Thursday

The second of three "Tulsa Plays!" Summer Kids programs, presented by The University of Tulsa athletics, Tulsa World, KTUL Channel 8 and Scripps Radio, will take place this Thursday, June 7, 10-12 noon at the Gardens at LaFortune Park (5202 S. Hudson Ave.).
Tulsa Plays! is open to all kids 12 & under. The "Tulsa Plays!" initiative is a community program designed to encourage kids to play and live a healthy and active lifestyle. All children will need to have a waiver signed by a legal guardian or parent to participate.
The youth will participate in running and agility drills in a variety of sports. TU student- athletes from the sports of football, soccer, volleyball, rowing and women's basketball will be present this week to instruct and interact with the youth in attendance.
Each participant will receive an activity card that they can take to each activity station. At each station they will receive a sticker of completion. At the end of the day, kids can redeem their activity card for a Tulsa Plays! gift pack.
When arriving, parents should enter off of Hudson Ave. from either 51st or 61st streets between Sheridan & Yale.
The first Summer Plays event took place at Veteran's Park in Tulsa and drew over 50 youth. The last remaining Tulsa Plays! Summer event is scheduled for Thursday, July 21, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Hunter Park (5804 East 91st Street).
