Tulsa Football Practices Twice on Wednesday

The Tulsa football team had its' first two-a-day workout of preseason camp on Wednesday as the Golden Hurricane had its usual 135-minute practice in the morning on Harwell Field, and spent the 75-minute afternoon session concentrating on special teams on the turf of H.A. Chapman Stadium.

Tulsa will take Thursday off from the practice field, before returning on Friday for another two-a-day workout, again focusing on special teams in the afternoon.

Tulsa Football Fan Fest is set for this Saturday, from 10:30-12:30 p.m. with a scrimmage followed by an autograph session. Fan Fest will also include inflatables for kids, concessions, raffle items, football select-a-seat, dress like a player, face-painting, and activities like throwing a pass, kicking a field goal, and pass-catching.

Montgomery talked about what he hopes to see at Saturday's scrimmage.

"I want to come out of the scrimmage healthy first. It will be a little bit livelier of a situation than what we've been through thus far this camp," said Montgomery. "The scrimmage will give us a chance to look at some of the young guys live, and also give those guys that haven't been under the lights for awhile due to injury or whatever, a chance to knock off the rust.

Season tickets for the six-game schedule are available for $78, $150, $210 and $270, while a 3-Game Pick 'Em Mini-Pack Plan allows fans the ability to select three games out of the six-game home schedule for $45, $84 and $114. The Mazzio's Family Fun Zone Ticket Package provides the greatest value for a family, as a family of four (two adults and two children age 12-and-under) can purchase a ticket package for just $195 for the entire six-game home schedule.
