
Tulsa Women’s Soccer Team Captures 2-1 Win Over TCU in Exhibition

The Tulsa women's soccer team captured a 2-1 win over TCU in an exhibition contest on Sunday evening at the Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas.
Tana Dake put Tulsa on the board with just 4:31 ticked off the clock off an assist from Rachel Thun. The Golden Hurricane held on to that lead until the 80th minute when Michelle Prokof evened the scored, but Dake and Thun combined again as Dake punched one into the back of the net just 29-seconds later for the win.
TCU had a 12-6 lead in shots, while TU had a 5-4 advantage in shots on goal, and the Horned Frogs took all seven corner kicks in the contest.
Thun and Dake both had two shots for Tulsa, while Rebecca Defer and Courtney McKeon split time in goal and tallied three saves.
Tulsa will begin the regular season against Loyola Marymount in the Sooner Classic in Norman, Okla., on Friday, August 19 at 4:00 pm.
