After taking Sunday off from the practice field, the Tulsa football team had two workout sessions on Monday. In the morning, Tulsa focused on special teams at H.A. Chapman Stadium, before returning to the grass of Harwell Field for a late afternoon practice.
"This morning, the good Lord blessed us with great weather, and we had a really good workout with a lot of energy. We bounced back pretty well from a day off," said Tulsa Head Coach Philip Montgomery. "Then when we came out this afternoon, we had to churn the butter a little bit, and get them going. Once we got through the first couple periods, the energy level picked up. But we just can't waste a period like that. We have to step up and be ready each and every day, and each and every practice."
"We talked about that. I think that it will generate, and we'll have a good practice tomorrow. I thought our practice ended pretty well today," added Montgomery.
Tulsa will be back on the practice field Tuesday morning.
