Tulsa Volleyball Set for Creeds and Crests Classic at Texas State

The University of Tulsa Volleyball team is scheduled to play three games this weekend in San Marcos, Texas at the Creeds and Crests Classic on the campus of Texas State University.

The Golden Hurricane will open up play with two games on Friday, Sept. 2, beginning with a match against Kennesaw State at 12:30 p.m. in the first ever meeting between the two programs. TU will meet up with Stephen F. Austin for the fifth time in history at 5 p.m. with Tulsa holding a 4-2 series advantage. In their meeting last season, the Hurricane fell to the Jacks, 3-2. Â Tulsa's match against the Jacks will be broadcasted through audio here.

Tulsa will wrap up weekend play against host-school Texas State on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the final match of the Creeds and Crests Classic in TU's first true road match of the season. Texas State holds the all-time advantage against the Hurricane as they lead the series, 3-1. Â The match can be viewed with a subscription here.

The Hurricane head into weekend play with a 2-1 record after earning wins against Incarnate Word and Alabama on their home floor at the Hurricane Classic last weekend.Â
