Tulsa Women’s Soccer Hosts Missouri State and Houston Baptist This Week

The Tulsa women's soccer team will open their home slate with the Tulsa Invitational, which features a game against Missouri State on Friday, September 2 at 7:30 pm, followed by a game vs. Houston Baptist on Sunday, September 4 at 2:00 pm. Both games will be played at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.

Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688.

Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on TulsaHurricane.com/watch. There is a 24HR Pass, a Monthly Pass and Yearly Pass that allow you to watch all TU home men's and women's soccer, volleyball and softball games depending on the package purchased.

TU (1-2-1) has faced three top-25 teams already this season, tying #25 Loyola Marymount (1-1), while falling to #24 South Carolina (4-1) and #11 Texas A&M (2-0). Tulsa picked up a 2-1 win over Central Arkansas.

All four Golden Hurricane goals have come from different players, including one each from junior Tana Dake, sophomore McKenzi McAdams, and freshmen Anna Williams and Reagan Whitlow. Also, 16 players have attempted a shot in just the first four contests for TU.

Rebecca Defer and Courtney McKeon have both earned time in goal this season, with Defer playing 290 minutes and McKeon logging 90 minutes in goal. The duo has combined for 23 saves.

Missouri State is 0-2-1 on the season, falling to Texas Tech (1-0) and Little Rock (2-0), and tying UMKC (0-0). The Bears are looking for their first goal and first win on the season when they come to town.

Houston Baptist has a 1-3 mark heading into the weekend, but will face Oral Roberts on Friday. The Huskies are led by Allison Abendschein and Ellee Hall with two goals a piece.
