
Tulsa Golfers to Compete at Lady Paladin Invitational

The Tulsa women's golf team will be competing this weekend, Friday-Sunday, Sept. 23-25, at the 2016 Lady Paladin Invitational, hosted by Furman University, at the par-72, 6313-yard Furman University Golf Course in Greenville, South Carolina.
Tulsa is coming off of a ninth-place team finish in a 15-team field last week at the Red Raider Invitational.
This is the sixth time Tulsa has played at the Lady Paladin Invitational, but the first since the 1980-81 season. Tulsa won tournament titles in 1976 and 1977, while placing second in 1980 and 1981 and finishing in fifth-place in 1978.
The five golfers representing the Hurricane at the Lady Paladin include sophomore Johanna Samuelsson, who had a team-best 15th place finish at the Red Raider Invitational, senior Nadia Majidizadeh, who placed 17th overall, as well as newcomers Greta Bruner, Taylor Dobson and Anneka Strobach.
The 20-team field for the three-day, 54-hole tournament include: Augusta, Daytona State, East Tennessee State, Furman, Georgetown, Georgia State, Illinois, Kennesaw State, Maryland, Mercer, Middle Tennessee State, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, Ole Miss, Texas, Tulsa, UNC Wilmington, Virginia Tech and Wofford.
