The Hurricane has a fresh look for 2016-17, welcoming 10 newcomers to go with the five returning players from last year's roster. Senior guards Pat Birt and Corey Haith lead the way with junior forwards TK Edogi and Junior Etou, and sophomore guard Sterling Taplin all back at 11th and Harvard this year.

Newcomers include: junior guards Corey Henderson Jr. and Jaleel Wheeler, sophomore forward Geno Artison, freshman guards Travis Atson, Joseph Battle, Alex Foree and Lawson Korita, and forwards Martins Igbanu and Will Magnay. Sophomore guard Curran Scott is a newcomer, but will sit out this season after transferring from Charlotte, but will practice with the squad.
