Four Hurricane Unbeaten in Singles Play at Hurricane Invite

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa Women's Tennis team continued play at the Hurricane Invite at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on Saturday morning. Four Hurricane singles players remain unbeaten on the weekend while the top three doubles pairings are 1-1 heading into the final day of play tomorrow.
Ksenia Laskutova beat Denver's Bianca Mok in the blue division 6-4, 6-4 to move to 2-0 on the weekend with a chance to finish unbeaten tomorrow. Laskutova started play at the invite on Friday with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Northeastern State's Molly Worden.
Freshman Martina Okalova is also unbeaten after two matches in the brown division, moving to a 2-0 record at the Hurricane Invite with a 6-1, 7-5 win over Arisha Ladhani of Denver.
Martha Matoula and Marcelina Cichon won their matches today in the crimson and navy divisions. Matoula defeated Denver's Gracia Mboko 7-6, 6-2 while Cichon earned a three sets win over Morgan Barnhill 4-6, 6-1, 7-6.
The Hurricane doubles pairings head into the final day of play at 1-1 with a match remaining for each duo.
Tulsa will play their final matches of the weekend tomorrow morning against Wyoming's players in their respective divisions at 11:30 a.m.
